Overview:
Three days. One character. Your own custom-made mask.
Take your Halloween character creation beyond make-up in this immersive three-day introduction to professional Mask Making.
Perfect for artists interested in prosthetics, theatre, haunted attractions, performance, costume or character design, this hands-on workshop takes you through the traditional process of creating a bespoke latex character mask from initial idea through to finished piece.
Under expert guidance, you’ll learn how to sculpt your character, create a mould, cast your mask and bring it to life through professional painting and finishing techniques.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll also gain an understanding of the specialist materials, tools, processes and safety considerations used when working within professional prosthetic and character environments.
Whether your creation is monstrous, supernatural, sinister or simply strange, by the end of the three days you’ll leave with your own completed Halloween mask, alongside the foundational skills to continue developing your own creatures and characters.

To ensure a high-quality learning experience, we keep class sizes small, allowing for personalised guidance and clear communication. As a result, availability is limited, and early booking is recommended.

Workshop Availability:

Workshops run subject to a minimum of two confirmed attendees. If a workshop does not yet meet this requirement, you may request to join the waiting list by emailing workshops-uk@kryolan.com, including the workshop title and preferred date(s). You will be contacted once the minimum number of attendees is reached and formal confirmation can be issued.

If you have booked online, received your confirmation, and are the sole attendee for a scheduled workshop, you will be contacted no later than one week prior to the course date and offered the option to transfer your booking to a suitable alternative date or receive a full refund.

Where do the workshops take place?
All workshops are held at the Kryolan City London Store:

Do I need to bring anything?
All products, tools and brushes are provided. For practical sessions, we recommend bringing a smartphone or camera to photograph your work.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Upon completion, you will receive an official Kryolan Certificate of Attendance. Please note this is not a formal make-up qualification.

Will a model be provided?
Models are not provided. For practical sessions, you may work on yourself or another attendee.

What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Full details can be found in the cancellation policy sent with your booking confirmation.

Can I use my Pro Card discount?
Due to the high costs of running this course Pro Card Discounts are unable to be applied.

Do I receive a discount on the day?
Yes. All attendees receive 20% off full-priced Kryolan purchases made on the day of the workshop.
